The WNC Resilience Project is a multi-year regional initiative supporting schools across Western North Carolina as they design learner-centered, resilience-focused solutions in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
What This Is
The WNC Resilience Project brings together educators, students, districts, nonprofits, and community partners to co-design real-world learning, mental health supports, credentialing pathways, and systems for long-term recovery.
Led by Open Way Learning and supported by a coalition of regional and national partners, the project uses improvement science, liberatory design, and storytelling to turn local challenges into shared learning.
