About the
WNC Resilience Project
The WNC Resilience Project was launched to support long-term educational recovery following Hurricane Helene. While the storm exposed deep systemic challenges, it also revealed schools as powerful hubs of resilience, care, and leadership.
Rather than delivering pre-packaged solutions, the project centers educators and students as designers of change. Teams identify a shared aim, test small change ideas through Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles, and reflect together on what’s working.
